We are seeking a Lecturer in Counselling to join a well-established Social Sciences Portfolio within the Faculty of HE as a member of the teaching team for BA (Hons) Counselling, validated by UEA. You will be a highly knowledgeable and experienced counsellor/practitioner and will be expected to have relevant academic qualifications (for example, an undergraduate and/or postgraduate degree in counselling or psychotherapy). You will be a member of the BACP or other appropriate professional body, and will have experience of working within a person-centred modality. Previous experience of teaching is highly desirable.

You will be required to plan, teach and assess a range of undergraduate modules across all three years of the BA (Hons) Counselling programme, as well as supporting Faculty initiatives. As a lecturer working alongside a team of highly motivated teaching staff, and will contribute to the smooth and professional running of the Counselling programme. An ability to deliver qualitative and quantitative Research Methods, and to supervise undergraduate dissertations in counselling, would be an advantage.
