Job Introduction
Loretto School is one of Britain’s leading independent boarding and day schools located on the outskirts of Edinburgh and we have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join our team as our Admissions Manager.

Main Responsibilities
- The development of Admissions Strategy with the Head of Marketing, Communications & Admissions and its implementation.
- To manage the day to day work of the Admissions team providing direction and performance management.
- To manage and implement efficient and effective admissions processes and procedures.
- To ensure that all contact with prospective parents, agents and feeder schools is professional and of the highest quality.
- Manage Agency Commission, be responsible for regular communication with Agents and ensure the Agents database is maintained for the purposes of pupil recruitment and UKV&I Compliance.
- In consultation with the Senior Management Team and other relevant staff, direct the planning and implementation of Open Days, and develop with colleagues Induction Days, Transition Events and other relevant events in the calendar.
- Maintain strong links with outside agencies such as Agents, British Council, Guardians and SCIS, Local and Prep Schools.
- Work closely with the Director of Golf on golf events related to recruitment of new pupils.
- Work closely with Director of Sport and Assistant Head - Academic to encourage and develop sporting and academic events related to recruitment of new pupils, including roadshows, training visits to prep schools, lectures etc.

- At least four years’ experience in school admissions
- Ability to think critically and strategically and skilled in providing effective advice on strategy pertinent to recruitment.
- A thorough understanding of the economic, political and cultural environment in which the School operates and its relationships with relevant external stakeholders both at home and abroad.
- Skilled in identifying and managing sensitive issues related to recruitment.
- The ability to work in strong partnerships with academic, support and other professional staff.
- Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to prioritise and use initiative.
- In-depth knowledge and experience of Admissions processes and relationship building.
- Willingness to represent the School at events at school and elsewhere including but not exclusively open mornings, transition days, golf events and competitions, prep school open mornings, prep school events, and gatherings of Parents/Agents and other relevant external stakeholders at home or abroad.
- Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to prioritise and use initiative.
- An understanding of, and belief in, the aims and ethos of independent education.

Package Description

Salary will be determined by experience and aptitude for the role but will be in the region of £45,000.
