We are seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable Pensions Technical & Governance Specialist to join this in house pensions team in a remote capacity. As a Pensions Technical & Governance Specialist, you will be responsible for analysing pensions legislation, producing material for the trustee boards, implementing trustee decisions and contribute to the ongoing development of the risk management framework.

Key Responsibilities;
- Analysing and interpreting complex pensions scheme data to provide insights and recommendations to the trustee boards.
- Producing high-quality materials, such as reports, agendas, and documentation for the trustee boards to support decision-making and governance processes.
- Implementing trustee decisions effectively and ensuring compliance with regulatory and governance requirements.
- Managing the risk framework by identifying, assessing, and mitigating pension scheme risks and ensuring robust governance processes are in place.
- Providing technical expertise and guidance on pension scheme issues, including legislative and regulatory changes, to support the decision making by the trustee boards.
- Develop and maintain policies.
Key Requirements;
- Significant experience and knowledge of the legislative and regulatory framework that governs DB / DC occupational pension schemes, including the reporting and compliance requirements.
- Experience developing and maintaining robust scheme governance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including an ability to communicate complex pension issues in plain English to individuals with varying degrees of pensions knowledge.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with trustee boards, third-party providers, and internal stakeholders to achieve common goals and deliver successful outcomes.
