Hygiene Team Leader

As an Hygiene Teamleader, you will be responsible for:
- All activities on the respective shift.
- Lead and develop their Team.
- Prioritising cleaning according to production machinery.
- The hygiene operatives on your team.
- Ensure good communication and employee involvement in order to help maintain good industrial relations and improve the overall effectiveness of the business.
- Optimise labour utilisation by close monitoring of holiday planning.
- Operate at all times to the highest attainable safety standards. Instil safety-conscious attitude and work methods into all staff.
- Identify and report on all unsafe equipment & situations and ensure positive remedial action is taken.
- Carrying out cleaning audits.
- Completion of all relevant paperwork.
- Stand in for Hygiene Shift Manager in their absence.
- Promote appropriate work behaviour
- To be available for and actively participate in customer audits, E.H.O. audits, BRC, and PIU To participate in HACCP teams.
- To adhere to the group Health and Safety policy, following all company policies and procedures that have been put in place to ensure your welfare and that of others. Being mindful that the Health, Safety and Wellbeing at work is everyone’s responsibility.
- Promoting adherence to Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure all Team Members are appraised on their performance.
- Is sufficiently flexible in terms of hours of work to facilitate effective hand over at the beginning and end of shift.
- Leads by example in promoting a harmonious working environment in line with the company’s policies on Equal Opportunity, Harassment and the company’s Code of Ethics.
- Any other reasonable duties as required by your manager.
Physical Conditions:
The job is performed mainly in a chilled factory area and involves extensive periods standing. The incumbent is required to operate effectively; cleaning machinery, fabric and using chemicals as required. It is imperative that the job incumbent is aware of health and safety regulations and adheres to them.
What you will need:
- Experience in servicing a fast moving food manufacturing environment is essential.
- Knowledge of waste controls and their impact upon factory/ production performance.
- Well organised and self-motivated.
- Willing to undertake personal development training.
- Experience of hygiene cleaning standards as required by customers and legislation is essential.
- Experience of completing relevant paperwork is essential.
- Experience of managing and leading a team is essential.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
