**POST: Care Compliance Officer**

**Responsible to: Managing Director**

**Overview**:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Care Compliance Officer to join our management team. As a Care Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring that our organisation operates in accordance with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. Your role will involve conducting internal audits, managing compliance programs, and ensuring accurate regulatory reporting.

**Purpose**:
The role of the Care Compliance Officer is to assist the Managing Director in ensuring that all client focused standards and indicators, as defined by overarching bodies, are incorporated in the development of business policies and procedures and to ensure that staff training is tailored as prescribed with Care Inspectorate reports.

**Key responsibilities/accountabilities**:
**Care Compliance**

To support the Managing Director in reviewing, developing, defining and implementing corporate policies, standards and indicators for the effective person-centred service of the organisation's clients and to aid the management and development of care staff.

To ensure that those policies, standards and indicators are understood, and their implementation supported throughout the organisation, this includes advising the Client Services Officer, Coordinators and the Managing Director of mandatory and other training required to meet the policies, standards and indicators.

To stay up to date with changes in laws and regulations that may impact the organisation.

To prepare and submit regulatory reports accurately and in a timely manner.

To investigate any reported compliance violations or concerns.

To conduct regular internal audits to identify areas of non-compliance

**Client Services**

To monitor the effectiveness and relevance of client wellbeing policies and initiatives in supporting the business objectives of the organisation.

Monitor and assess the effectiveness of existing compliance programs

To assist the Managing Director in the monitoring and analysis of complaints, compliments and incident reporting.

**Staff Development**

Provide guidance and training to employees on compliance matters

To undertake observations in practice and support staff competencies.

To maintain e-learning compliance and arrange workshops and competency checks to support e-learning.

To support staff to register with SSSC and ensure understanding of what that means.

To monitor staff absences and carry out all return to work meetings in a timely manner.

To conduct exit interviews.

To conduct staff supervisions on a 6 monthly basis.

**General**

To assist with admin/co-ordination tasks as and when required.

To take on any other responsibilities or tasks that are within the employee's skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed.

To handle personal data in accordance with the organisation's data protection policy and confidentiality obligations

**Qualifications**:
Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, or a related field
Proven experience working in compliance management, preferably within the care industry
Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and reporting standards
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify potential risks or issues
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team

**Must have Driving License and own car.**
