We are looking for an Associate Simulation Consultant with a highly numerate background to join our growing simulation and modelling team based at our Alcester office in the West Midlands. In this role you will be support some of the UK’s biggest clients, working closely with them to help solve their business challenges and enabling them to improve their processes and make better decisions.

As part of the role, you will work with other members of the simulation and modelling team to design, develop and test our simulation-based solutions. Successful applicants will be trained in the group’s simulation tools, methodologies and best practises. This training and our supportive team environment will ensure you have all the skills required to succeed in this unique and challenging role combining design, customer interaction, critical thinking, logic and programming.

**Salary**: Starting at £26,500.00 with £1,000 6 monthly increases for 2 years.

Saker Solutions are a leading provider of simulation and decision support solutions. The company has been delivering innovative software tools and services for over 20 years and has a diverse range of clients across many different industrial sectors including, nuclear, oil & gas, distribution & logistics and manufacturing. Saker have been at the forefront of simulation technology: providing consultation, building and running simulation models, and offering ongoing training and support services for a variety of simulation products including Flexsim and Simul8. In late 2020, Saker Solutions joined forces with one of the largest systems integrators in the UK, ITI Operations Limited.

Summary of Roles and Responsibilities

**You will**:
Liaising with clients in a customer focused organisation to understand client requirements.
Interpreting business requirements and translating these into a set of written requirements.
Development of simulation models in line with the group’s best practice and simulation methodology.
Ensuring that developed simulation models fulfil the requirements identified within the scope of work.
Presenting completed simulation models to clients and articulating instructions on using the software.
Providing support to customers on existing projects.
Working as an individual with responsibility for the management of own projects.
Working with other team members to ensure the success of the team and wider group.
Summary of Requirements

**We are looking for**:
At least a 2:1 degree in a highly numerate degree (expected or received).
An MSc is preferable but not essential - ideally in Maths, Operation Research, Statistics or Computer Science.
The ability to communicate complex information (both written and spoken).
Strong numerical and problem-solving skills.
Logical thinking and analytical skills.
Attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
Prior programming experience preferable but not essential
