Control Systems Engineer

Full time & permanent position

Reed Engineering are working with a Norwich based company who design and manufacture purpose-built machinery for the food industry throughout the world. Due to a period of growth, they are looking to increase headcount within their innovation team and currentlyhave a vacancy for an experienced control systems engineer to strengthen their team.

Duties of the role include:

- Design system solutions for new products
- Design and implement control software to meet product specifications and safety standards
- Conduct site trials and find solutions to any problems encountered
- Monitor product performance and identify areas for improvement for both existing systems and new products

Skills & experience required for the role includes:

- Minimum qualification to HND level within the Engineering field
- Previous experience working within a similar role, ideally providing equipment into the food industry
- Proficiency of using Rockwell RSLogix5000 as well as experience with PLC and motion control
- Understanding and abilities within software and electrical design
- Flexibility for international travel to help support machine installations (up to 2 weeks at a time)
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines
