**Role purpose**

Sourcing is part of the extended value chain of Aesop. The role of the Head of Strategic Sourcing is to understand Aesop business needs, source the best ecosystem, develop supplier partnerships and reinvent our ways of working in a responsible and innovative way. This role will be responsible for both direct and indirect sourcing for the Aesop organisation. Direct sourcing relates to the process of purchasing and manufacturing of Aesop products (raw materials, packaging and subcontracting arrangements) that are directly incorporated into our final product offering. Indirect sourcing relates to the acquisition of goods and services that support the day-to-day operations of a business but are not part of the final product

Role responsibilities include, but not limited to
- **Strategy**
- Define and implement the organisations overall sourcing strategy and lead operations that build value driven vendor partnerships focusing on risk management, reliability and cost effectiveness.
- Study market intelligence and conduct frequent market analysis and benchmarking to anticipate price fluctuations

**Execution**
- Implement structured negotiation processes that facilitate supplier negotiations and contacting
- Obtain new sources, methods and vendors to ensure a reliable supply of materials
- Deploy systems and tools to manage process, create efficiencies and control costs

**Communication and Relationship Management**
- Partner with business stakeholders to ensure alignment on business needs
- Coach stakeholders on core disciplines leading to continuous improvement and a culture of positive change
- Develop vendor partnerships, sets KPIs and goals and uses scorecards to measure and evaluate vendor performance

**Leadership**
- Lead change management activities across the Sourcing department and more broadly the Supply Chain and Operations functions

This is a full-time position operating with a hybrid working pattern.

- Highly effective communicator, demonstrating empathy, active listening, assertiveness, and a focus on mid and long-term interests
- Exemplary work ethic and the ability to lead by example
- Resilient, independent, self-reliant, tenacious, and a team player
- Strong analytical skills, capable of evaluating, analysing, and presenting data meaningfully
- Ability to manage activities and projects within agreed budgets
- Familiarity and experience with organisational design principles
