**ACCOUNTABLE TO: MANAGER**

**JOB PRUPOSE**:To carry out day to day maintenance on the fabric of the building, it’s services and grounds to ensure that the Home is maintained in a safe, efficient and functional order.

**MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

1. To carry out general maintenance as required throughout the home, including minor electrical and plumbing works.

2. To ensure the home is in good decorative order at all times

3. To ensure all external areas and grounds are kept tidy and well maintained to ensure the smart appearance of the Home

4. To supervise outside contractors

5. To test and monitor temperatures on both domestic hot water and heat emitter surfaces. Written records to be kept.

6. To ensure all equipment is periodically maintained

7. To understand and ensure the implementation of the Home’s Health and Safety policy, Emergency and Fire Procedures

8. To attend all training sessions as required, specifically statutory training including manual handling

9. To conduct weekly and monthly checks as set out in our policies.

Full DBS check to be obtained prior to starting.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temp to perm

**Salary**: £10.50-£11.50 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
