**About the Role**

Amici Procurement Solutions is a market leader of procurement and supply chain management solutions for biotech businesses in the UK and USA. We’re looking for a **Scientific Buyer** to be responsible for managing capital equipment and services purchases. It’s a great opportunity to utilise your skills and experience to facilitate our customers through end-to-end procurement. Amici supports really exciting and ground-breaking innovations with customers, such as cancer therapy, brain degeneration and more recently Covid-19 vaccine manufacture.

**What will you be doing?**
- Be responsible for supporting customers in the Biotech sector with procurement of technical products
- Negotiate both repeat and one-off equipment purchases as well as equipment maintenance contracts
- You will become an expert in each equipment category, building your knowledge over time to provide real expertise and guide buying decisions.
- Liaise with key stakeholders to determine product and service specifications required
- Use effective stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence suppliers and customers

**What are we looking for?**
- Proven procurement expertise from facilitation of user needs, tender management and facilitation of buying decision.
- Desirable experience working in a lab to fully realise and appreciate client needs.
- A tenacious individual with a strong sense of determination and enjoys a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
- You will have an inquisitive mindset, quick to get up to speed on any new topic or fill in gaps in knowledge.
