Overview:
Barnett Waddingham is a partner-led business which prides itself in providing straightforward and well-communicated pensions advice. From small beginnings with just 20 people, our total headcount is now over 1,526 (including 94 partners, 76 principals, 112 associates and 152 Qualified Actuaries) - with offices in nine locations around the UK. We act for a wide range of clients, large and small, including almost 25% of FTSE100 and over 15% of FTSE350 firms in the public and private sectors.

Our pension administration business provides services to trustees of UK occupational pension schemes such as DB, DC, CARE and cash balance. We are looking to recruit two experienced pension administrators to work in our projects team focusing on GMP projects.

Our employees work on a hybrid basis - sharing time between home and the office so that they can achieve a work-life balance that works for the individual, the business and the clients. The office base can be Leeds or Glasgow where we have GMP team members.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work with other team members to deliver GMP projects to our clients
- Use strong data analysis skills
- Prepare and check client reports
- Running and checking system generated calculations and output
- Demonstrate an understanding of the Pensions Regulator’s record keeping requirements and maintain the in-house pension administration database to ensure data quality standards are met
- Consultancy, project based or committee work as agreed
- Help to manage workflow
- Ensure that any member concerns or complaints are processed correctly and raised with appropriate reporting Partners immediately
- Build strong, effective client and team relationships
- Liaise across different business areas to coordinate the delivery of projects
- Support effective team working and encourage the team to look for efficiency gains and opportunities to carry out chargeable project work

Qualifications:
We are looking for administrators with significant experience in day-to-day administration of pensions and pensions projects

GMP experience would be useful but is not essential

Strong organisational skills are essential with the ability to manage your own workload and a number of different cases at once

Progress with a professional pensions qualification is desirable - and we'd be happy to support your study if you haven't had the opportunity to study yet
