**Job purpose**

The role of a Trainer (HR) is critical to the future success of the business through the delivery of all aspect of Training to colleagues and by developing strong relationships and networks throughout Princes Canning. The Trainer will possess the specialist skills required to measure competencies and create training plans, observation assessments and evaluations that demonstrate the learning of all our employees. In addition, they will be required to support all functions with a continuous improvement culture and actively living and engaging in Princes’ vision and values.
**Principle Accountabilities**

Deliver Training across a spectrum of business requirements, including Group Compliance training (i.e. Equality & Diversity) and support Site Compliance Training (i.e. Personal Hygiene Policy), to a high standard; ensuring no compromise is made to food safety, product integrity, quality or health & safety.
Ensure training Records are stored correctly (electronic and paper), ensuring they are filed methodically and can be easily retrieved for audit purposes.
Support the delivery and continuous improvement of Training Documentation ensuring information feedback to maintain accuracy, being fit for purpose and meet the compliance, policies, legislation and best practice of the business.
Reporting to the Learning & Development Officer, you will be responsible for regularly liaising with the Operations Trainers, Departmental Managers and Area Coordinators across all Departments to pro-actively plan and record all training activities.
Ensure documented plans are achievable and realistic and review regularly against listed actions and measured against Training KPIs.
Identify mandatory training needs along with any Departmental training gaps that allows the business to maintain audit readiness and be compliant at all times.
Support Operations Trainers, when required, with the completion of Task / Job / Role Assessments and escalate results of those that meet the required standards and those that do not meet the functional skill level and require further training.
Provide constructive feedback with the goal of ensuring colleagues understand any implications of conducted actions, as well as delivering praise when higher standards are achieved.
Support the collation of Training Data via the monthly training KPI’s.
Maintain accurate and up to date training records of all activities along with updating and reviewing respective training matrices accordingly.
Support Training across the business including delivery of New Starter Inductions and Induction Refreshers for existing staff.
Book, and support, online Training including the Level 2 Food Safety & HACCP

**Rotating Day Shifts**
Week 1: Monday to Thursday 06.00-14.00, Friday 06.00-12.00
Week 2: Monday to Thursday 14.00-22.00, Friday 12.00-18.00

- Ability to communicate confidently and engage with colleagues, at all levels, possessing strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fully engage with stakeholders to gain an understanding of the working environment in all Departments.
- Possess the required competence and confidence to deliver all types of training i.e. Classroom, Workshops, Face to Face, etc.
- Possess a working knowledge and understanding of a Training Function / Department.
- Possess effective time management skills and ability to organise own workload.
- Ability to work effectively as part of team.
- Be a self-starter with an ability to motivate yourself and others, leading by example in all situations and work with enthusiasm.
- Have resilience and the ability to embrace and accept change.
- Be flexible and adaptable in approach to work, working hours and able to cover all shifts as required; this may include cross site training within Canning.
- Attention to detail ensuring all Training documentation meets business and audit standards.
- Be approachable, supportive and positive, with a ‘Can Do’ attitude at all times.

**Competencies**:

- Experience of working within an FMCG environment
- Understand training requirements for FMCG
- IT literate.
- Functional Skills level 2.
- Have, or willing to work towards, a Training Qualification (i.e. PTTLLS / L3 AET)
- People Management & Development
- Support Instructional Skills and Team Leader Workshops.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure Princes is audit read
