- This is a rare opportunity to join the City of Doncaster’s Health and Safety team. You will work with the Corporate Safety & Training Manager, and the training team to develop and deliver the Council’s H&S strategy. The strategy aims to ensure that all staff and external partners have access to suitable, high quality and appropriate H&S training; your role will be to deliver and meet these needs and to develop new training packages, whilst keeping up to date with H&S developments/legislation. All training is designed to ensure compliance with legislation and with the aim of reducing risk as far as practicable for the council, schools, contractors, and the public.
- The successful post holder will develop, review and deliver both general and bespoke training while promoting a positive H&S culture and ensuring statutory compliance.
- The successful applicant will have significant experience of successfully developing and delivering high quality health and safety training in a complex and multi-disciplined environment, along with knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation. The ability to be flexible and provide practical and creative solutions to training needs is essential in this role.
