**Join the Amelia Trust team as a Woodlands Ranger**

**About the Role**

We are looking to recruit someone as a Woodlands Ranger who will work 12 hours per week to maintain and enhance accessibility in the woodlands at Amelia Trust whilst preserving remnant ancient woodland features.

With experience of working with volunteers, we need someone who will work with tree experts and nature specialists to continue to develop and deliver a sustainable management plan for the woodlands.

**Specific Areas of Responsibility**:
1. To work with tree experts and nature specialists to continue to develop and deliver a sustainable management plan for the woodlands.

2. To engage with the local community in the development of the woodlands at Amelia Trust to create a healthy functioning ecosystem.

3. To inspire and empower volunteers to provide ongoing care for the woodlands ensuring environmental sustainability.

4. To work with corporate groups of volunteers to maintain and improve footpaths and other development work in the woodlands.

5. To work with other charities based at the Farm to ensure that their service users (veterans of the armed forces and adults with learning disabilities) are also given the opportunity to help with the development of the woodlands.

6. To lead guided walks and nature-based sessions with the general public therebyimproving the Trust’s ability to educate people about different ecosystems and environmental sustainability.

7. To carry out weekly Health and Safety checks in the woodlands and make good any identified risks.

8. To undertake such other tasks as may be required by the Director.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 12 per week

**Salary**: £11.03 per hour
