We have an opportunity for a Security Guard to join our Facilities department in Knowsley. Your responsibility will be to ensure the general security and safety of the relevant Alfred H Knight sites at all times.

Responsibilities & Skills

- Compliance with security assignment instructions.
- Carry out security/fire patrols.
- Monitoring of fire, security alarm, access control and CCTV systems.
- Dealing with emergency call outs in accordance with site escalation procedures.
- Maintenance of security assignment log.
- Liaising with Police and other authorities as required.
- Safe guard premises to ensure the building/site is secure.
- Perform opening and locking up of premises.
- Report any incidents or accidents.
- To wear uniform and any protective clothing provided by the Company.
- Ensuring safety in the workplace and ensuring compliance with all instructions relating to the use of equipment/information necessary in the performance of tasks.
- Follow health and safety policies and procedures at all times.
- Be proactive and diligent whilst carrying out daily duties.
- Provide shift cover when required (i.e. Holidays and Sickness).
- To undertake other tasks of an appropriate nature in consultation with the Site Manager.

Do you have what it takes?

To be successful at Alfred H Knight, you will need to display the following:
Required Knowledge and Work Experience

Essential
- Experience in use of CCTV operations.
- Ability to work unsupervised.

Desirable
- Previous experience in the security industry.
- Current driving licence.
- SIA Licence - Security Guarding or Door supervision as a minimum.
- Licence, training and experience in use of CCTV operations, public space surveillance.
- First Aider.
- Fire Warden training.

Hours of work: 37 hours per week - Friday 17.00-06.00, Saturday & Sunday 18.00—06.00.
