Security Guard

**Duties**:

- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to maintain order and establish a visible security presence
- Monitor CCTV cameras and alarms to identify and respond to potential security risks
- Respond to emergencies and alarms swiftly and appropriately
- Enforce site regulations and ensure compliance with health and safety standards
- Investigate incidents and prepare detailed reports for management
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when required
- Keeping communal and office areas tidy
- Ensure all contractors and visitors sign in/out of the visitiors book
- To fully understand and implement emergancy evacuation procedures as instructed.
- To operate Fire Alarm Panel when activated as instructed
- Patrol building and challenge any persons smoking or using naked flames in unauthroised areas
- Unplug/remove and store any electrical equiptment that has been left on corrdiors and staircases.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a Security Guard or relevant position
- SIA Licence
- Knowledge of CCTV systems and surveillance techniques
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with a diverse range of individuals
- Understanding of loss prevention techniques
- First aid certification is desirable
- Ability to work as part of a team and lone work

Benefits: Training provided for necessary certifications and skills enhancement. Full training for all duties will be provided on shadow shifts.

All other duties that may arise as instructed by the building manager in order to ensure the safety and well-being of residents, staff and visitors to Brunel Court/ Lawson Halls.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £11.44 per hour

Expected hours: 36 - 48 per week
