A Health and safety consultant is required to join a small team who provide consultancy and training services to a wide range of clients in the Yorkshire area. Duties include carrying out site inspections and audits, writing risk assessments, policies, procedures, inductions etc

Also delivering a variety of training courses ranging from the delivery of tool box talks to formal accredited training courses eg IOSH and Nebosh

Must be a good communicator, have basic IT skills, a common sense approach and is able to provide pragmatic solutions and be able to build relationships with clients and provide ongoing support.

**The Role**

As the Health and Safety Consultant you will provide professional, high quality Health and Safety advisory services to a number of clients within the Yorkshire area. You will be one of the team ensuring best practice standards and working with key stakeholders to ensure a safe environment for all. Conducting risk assessments and audits and working with the team to deliver training and ensure policies and procedures are delivered effectively.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- To conduct Safety, Health and Environmental inspections, management audits, risk assessments and evaluate working practices at clients' site
- Investigate incidents and deliver recommendations
- To produce reports and actions plans
- To support the delivery of training
- To assist in producing written Safety, Health and Environmental Policies, Procedures, Guidance Notes and Codes of Practice

**About you**:

- NEBOSH General Certificate, NVQ level 3 or equivalent is essential
- Has Grad or Chartered IOSH membership or working towards this.
- Experience of working in Health & Safety, ideally in a similar environment
- Experience of delivering Health & Safety training
- A passion for Health and Safety with the drive and motivation to influence others
- Experience of conducting risk assessments and audits
- To be a good communicator and provide solutions
- Be adaptable and be able to provide a variety of services within a reasonable timescale.
- Ave a good command of literacy and IT skills
