**Summary**:
We are seeking a diligent, detail-oriented Audit Trainee to join our Audit Department. The Audit Trainee will work under the guidance of senior auditors to perform financial and operational audits, contribute to risk assessments, and provide support for audit projects.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assisting in the execution of financial and operational audits.
- Reviewing and assessing financial statements, accounting entries, and business records for accuracy and compliance with established accounting standards and legal requirements.
- Participating in risk assessments and the development of audit plans.
- Documenting audit procedures and creating detailed reports on audit findings.
- Supporting senior auditors in conducting interviews and gathering information from the audited entities.
- Assisting in the preparation of recommendations for improvements in financial management and internal controls.
- Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information obtained during the audit process.
- Staying informed of industry trends and changes in regulations relevant to auditing.
- Supporting other financial projects as needed.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field - preferable but not essential.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and familiarity with accounting software.
- Detail-oriented with strong organisational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Ability to travel as necessary.

**Salary**: £20,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
