The Security department at MVS Bruntingthorpe is pivotal, to ensure safety and security of all Team Members and Customers on site, and the security of property and assets.

**Scope of Role**:

Security Operative - Day shift_**

The dayshift role consists of 60 hours per week (12 hour shifts 0600-1800) and does include some weekend work on a rotational basis. Currently the dayshift weekend work operates on a rotational basis and involves one in three weekends. We also work bank holidays and operate a security presence 365 days of the year. Flexibility is required and hours/shifts may vary depending on business needs.

**_ Security Operative - Night shift._**

The nightshift role consists of 60 hours per week (12 hour shifts 1800-0600) and does include some weekend work on a rotational basis. We operate a night security presence 365 nights of the year and this includes bank holidays. Flexibility is required and hours/shifts may vary depending on business needs.

**Objectives for Role**:

Day shift Objectives_**
- Managing the inbound and exit of all vehicles on to site, ensuring attention to detail and accuracy with all gatehouse duties.
- Ensuring all necessary security checks, checking paperwork of despatched storage vehicles, pass outs etc, ensuring all due diligence checks are completed before the vehicle exits the site.
- Responding to site incidents, prioritising, and managing the situation in line with training and protocols required.
- Carry out Regular security patrols of the site.
- Ability to prioritise, and ensure excellent communication both verbally and in writing, always delivering a professional service on radio communications and telephone enquiries.
- Ensure accuracy and attention to detail when compiling reports, registration checks, and general gatehouse administration duties

Night Shift Objectives._**
- Regular foot or vehicle patrols to ensure the security of the site.
- Responding to site incidents, prioritising, and managing the situation in line with training and protocols required.
- Attention to detail, monitoring CCTV and other security systems in the gatehouse, reporting any concerns and dealing with any security incidents.
- Ability to prioritise and ensure excellent communication both verbally and in writing, always delivering a professional service on radio communications and telephone enquiries.
- Strong Administration, ensuring a clear handover to the dayshift.

**Skills, Knowledge and Experience**:

- A full clean driving license is required for this position.
- Checkable employment history.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, to ensure clear direction, interaction, effective handover between shifts and instruction both in person and on the radio and to deal with any general telephone enquiries.
- Good administrational skills, to compile reports and general gatehouse administration duties.
- Attention to detail required to ensure accurate registration and data checks.
- The role of a security officer is an active role and involves time patrolling site, both by foot and in car. A Reasonable level of fitness is required for some of the tasks and jobs we undertake.
