Siemens is creating its first UK based Rail Industry Hub on the outskirts of Goole in the East Riding of Yorkshire. With an initial contract to assemble nearly 50 trains to service the Piccadilly line on the London Underground we are starting to recruit up to 300 skilled technical and support colleagues at in our Manufacturing Facility.

In the near future follow-on work is expected to bring this number of trains into the hundreds, along with an expansion on the site into maintenance and overhaul activities displaying a long-term commitment to the area and growth in employment and career opportunities.

We are now recruiting our Production Logistics Operators to join us at our new Rail Manufacturing Facility in Goole. This role is crucial for the smooth functioning of Manufacturing Process with a potential to grow into Production Logistics Supervisor in future.

As part of the selection process, you will completing an online assessment and if successful you will be invited to the Assessment Centre at Goole on 27th and 28th September. If you are selected for the role, you will be travelling to Vienna in December for training purpose for a week.

**You will make an impact**:

- You will be key member of a specialist team responsible for the safe movement of all material movements around the site and within the production and assembly halls.
- Utilising a variety of standard and specialist MHE you will ensure the safety of your team and those working around your activities whilst supporting production activity.
- Working in advance of the production schedule, you will work as a team to safely solve issues, escalating problems as necessary.

**You will demonstrate**:

- Proven track record of prioritising safety in operational environments
- Experience of working within an industrial or supply chain setting in a similar role
- Experience of using and solid understanding of different types of mechanical handling equipment, their uses and limitations.
- An understanding of supporting a production schedule.

**It would be beneficial to have**:

- Experience of working with heavy machinery, such as cranes or shunting vehicles
- SAP or Similar WMS experience
- Experience using a variety of automated stock management tools.
