Job Description: Warehouse Picking Operative

Location: Subway Street, Hull, HU3 4EL

Hours**:16 hours minimum per week - some weekend work to be expected occasionally.**
Overtime may be required to meet demands, alternative Saturday's may be required during busy periods. Additional hours worked over contractual hours will be paid.

**Salary dependent on experience - Part-time Pro Rata**

**Job Overview**

As a General Warehouse Operative, you will be a valued member of our team responsible for unloading deliveries, stock organisation and rotation along with loading ambient, frozen and chilled foods onto company vehicles ready for deliveries to customers.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**

Working with the team in the following areas:

- Involvement with stock storage methods, solutions and regulations.
- Regular physical stock counts.
- Helping to pick and load company vehicles to deliver goods to customers.
- Identify areas for cost reduction / efficiency savings.
- Housekeeping duties within the Warehouse/ Fridge/ Freezer locations.

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
- Well organised and a logical thinker.
- To be able to work at a fast and efficient pace.
- Ability to listen and respond to instructions.
- Feel comfortable working in a cold environment during parts of the day.
- To be able to pay close attention to detail at all times.
- Excellent team worker with good communication skills and versatility to help other departments during busy periods when required.
- Ability to work unsupervised, with drive and determination to get things done, make things happen and continually looking for better ways of doing things.
- Experience of goods inwards procedures.
- Full Driving License (desirable).

**Qualifications and Experience**
- Picking experience: 1 year (required)
- Food Service Industry Experience (Advantageous)

**Specific KPI’s and Deliverables**
- All Goods in related problems dealt with and reported in a timely manner.
- All Goods in stored in a timely manner in the correct locations.
- All stock rotated as necessary with mínimal stock waste.
- Warehouse housekeeping kept to a high standard.
- Other KPI’s to be discussed during annual targets and performance reviews.
