**Overall purpose of the job**:
Together with your apprenticeship training and software development, you will also be taking calls from our clients and assisting them with a wide variety of IT queries.

You will troubleshoot and where possible, resolve the problem by talking users through solutions over the phone or using remote access tools to ensure fast resolution. If you are unable to resolve the problem, you will escalate with details of the stepstaken so far and work with the support team to improve your understanding.

**Duties and responsibilities**:

- Be a friendly face of IT while users are experiencing problems.
- Completing initial troubleshooting in a timely manner.
- Adhere to challenging SLA requirements, logging full details of time and work undertaken.
- System health checks.
- Undertake other such duties as may be reasonably required, including the possibility of out of hours working when required for projects.
- Support Level 1 and 2 queries coming into the support desk.
- Testing and feedbacking of software development projects, including UI/UX.
- Understand API documentation and assist with implementation for projects.
- Manage support tickets, bug tracking and change requests, providing updates and identifying incidents requiring escalation or urgent attention.

**What we are looking for:**

**Technical Skills (In Line with Apprenticeship Scheme)**
- Use knowledge of programming to troubleshoot issues, carry out applicable change requests.
- Microsoft Azure platforms - basic navigation, setup and configuration.
- Website Domain & DNS Management.
- Basic understanding of SQL and databases.
- Able to advise on using data ethically.
- Eager to become a security Lead for software projects and PenTesting.
- Microsoft Power Automate, PowerBI and the power platform experience.

The requirements listed below are considered to either be essential to successfully undertake the duties and responsibilities of the post or are considered highly desirable.

**Desired experience, skills and qualities:**
- Microsoft Office 365 - Tenant setup, configuring, security, administration troubleshooting
- Website support and design of predominately WordPress/WooCommerce
- Able to help and advise with Ad-Hoc software requirements from clients.
- A keen interest in IT, able to learn fast and adapt skills
- Keeps up-to-date with the latest industry news and developments
- High customer focus with a can-do attitude
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

**Entry requirements**

The entry requirements for this programme are as follows:

- Level 3 Software apprenticeship
- OR BTEC Diploma in IT and successful completion of our Aptitude Test
- OR two years' experience in a relevant role and successful completion of our Aptitude Test

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

**Salary:**

£18,000 per annum.
