Electrical Tester

Absolute Recruitment are looking for an Electrical Tester to join one of their well-established engineering clients based in Talk, the company has two sites with a location of Tunstall also.

Our client is looking for an experienced Electrical Tester OR someone with limited experience who they can train but will still need some knowledge of electrical testing.

Working hours - Monday - Thursday, 8:30am-5pm

Friday, 8:30am-4pm

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Read and interpret work orders to determine testing instructions and materials needed
- Position, align, or adjust workpieces or electrical parts to facilitate testing and assembly
- Test and measure finished products, components, or assemblies for functioning, operation, accuracy, or assembly to verify adherence to functional specifications PAT Testing
- Under supervision, use sensitive, calibrated equipment while adhering to strict health and safety guidelines for working in areas of high voltage
- Mark and tag components for acceptance or rejection, record test results and inspection data, and compare findings with specifications to ensure conformance to standards and so inventory can be tracked and identified
- Adjust, repair, or replace electrical components to correct defects and ensure conformance

**Key Attributes**:

- Requires repetitive light, medium and occasionally heavy lifting
- Adaptable and flexible with a good attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a strict attention to detail
- Good standards of numeracy, communication, and housekeeping

**Basic Requirements**:

- Numerate, literate and able to follow instructions
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
- Ability to work as part of a team
