Job Title: Botanic Crew (Tropical Ravine)

Summary:
Join Belfast City Council's dynamic team as a Botanic Crew member responsible for ensuring exceptional front-of-house operations and customer service at the Tropical Ravine. This role entails engaging with visitors, conducting tours, organising events, and maintaining cleanliness standards to uphold the reputation of Belfast City Council.

**Your Duties**:

- Engage with visitors, provide information, conduct tours, and handle admissions at the Tropical Ravine.
- Organise and participate in promotional campaigns, events, and activities.
- Manage commercial activities including selling goods, maintaining stock levels, and ensuring compliance with Trading Standard regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness standards by cleaning public areas, toilets, and operating cleaning equipment.
- Undertake portering duties such as setting up, dismantling, and maintaining equipment.
- Handle cash transactions, operate tills, and reconcile cash at the end of the day.
- Address customer comments and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Assist with first aid, accident/incident reporting, and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Open and close the building according to operating hours and perform safety checks as required.
- Undertake any other relevant duties as assigned.

**Your Profile**:
**Essential Criteria**:

- Minimum one year of experience in dealing with public enquiries, cash handling, and cleaning duties.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong customer care skills and understanding of customer service principles.
- Awareness of health and safety responsibilities.
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
- Technical knowledge of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
- Good numerical skills for cash reconciliations and stock taking.

**Short-listing Criteria**:
Additional one year's experience in assisting with promotional campaigns/events and portering duties.
