Fencing & Decking Labourer

We are recruiting for a Fencing & Decking Labourer. You will be working in a team with our Fencing & Decking Installers. We work at our clients properties which are primarily in Kingston Upon Thames, Richmond Upon Thames, Twickenham, Teddington, and Wimbledon.

**Jacksons Fencing Approved Installers**

Oilcanfinish Landscaping are a Jacksons Fencing Approved Installer. You will predominantly be assisting with Jacksons Fencing installations on residential properties. This includes:

- removing old/existing fencing
- site preparation
- receiving deliveries/moving materials
- waste management (predominantly moving waste to skip or bagging waste)
- excavating work for post holes

You will be trained to do the following tasks and a basic understanding of how some of these can be completed should be expected by the end of your 3rd month working with us:

- installation of fence posts, gravel boards, fence panels, trellis, and capping rails according to Jacksons Fencing installation guidelines

Basic carpentry skills would be a benefit. We are a family-friendly business and our clients require privacy and as little interruption as possible during our work. The ability to complete tasks with as little disruption as possible to our clients, maintain professional language, and professionally represent Oilcanfinish Landscaping as a Jacksons Fencing Approved Installer is required.

**Decking Installations**

We are also a TrexPro Gold Composite Decking Installer and a Millboard Approved Installer for Decking. In addition to these brands we also install Timbertech Composite Decking, Hardwood Decking, and Softwood Decking. You will primarily be preparing the site for the installation of Decking, this includes:

- removing old/existing decking
- site preparation
- receiving deliveries/moving materials
- waste management (predominantly moving waste to skip or bagging waste)

You will be trained to do the following tasks and a basic understanding of how some of these can be completed should be expected by the end of your 3rd month working with us:

- installation of support posts, bearers, wall plates, deck framing
- installation of decking and fascias according to the manufacturers installation guidelines

**The Role**

This role can lead to a Full Time Position as a Decking and Fencing Installer upon applicant successfully displaying Fencing and Decking installation competencies and meeting agreed scheduling and professional committments.
- Working Days are Monday to Friday 09:00 to 17:00.
- Subcontractor Basis paid weekly.
- Spoken English Language is an advantage, however we do have some team who are stronger in foreign languages.
- DBS check required
- Clear Drivers License an advantage, but not required.
- Own transportation to/from work sites required.
- Applicant to supply own PPE (steel or composite toe work boots, gloves, safety glasses, ear defenders)
- Primary tools will be supplied by Oilcanfinish Outdoor Living
- Ability to work in the UK is required.

Training will be conducted continuously to develop your competencies. Some training may be conducted with Manufacturers.

**Salary**: £12.00 per hour
