Restaurant Supervisor

We have an exciting opportunity for a Restaurant Supervisor to join our hotel; be able to deliver amazing hospitality and thrive on the challenge of always exceeding guest’s expectations. You will be expected to achieve a level of service through the constant monitoring of brand standards, be highly attentive to detail and be capable of delivering consistent standards. You should have a warm, personable nature and a ‘can do attitude’. In this type of industry teamwork is key; you should be a strong team player willing to lend a hand wherever needed.

You must have experience in a similar environment with the knowledge and confidence to deliver the role described below, combined with a passion for delivering exceptional service through your team.

**Key responsibilities for the Restaurant Supervisor are;**
- Supply and ensure the highest possible level of guest care and service to the guests; internal and external.
- Have a full knowledge and promote the hotel's facilities, services and company products.
- Promote the menu and 'special offers' ensuring maximum possible revenue is achieved.
- Allocate jobs and 'stations' checking that tasks have been completed before, during and after service periods.
- Assist with greeting, seating and order taking. Help guests with menu item selection and wine requirements; always anticipating their needs.
- Establish and maintain effective communication with staff (e.g. pre-session team briefings) and senior management/colleagues.
- Help with organising and running of special events. (e.g. weddings/ private dinners).
- Assist with staff training; departmental inductions, job skills, safety, statutory requirements and development to encourage them to upsell where possible.
- Maintain staffing levels within agreed budget targets - controlling wage costs, holiday schedules and work rotas.
- Support the implementation of new procedures, practices and standards where applicable.
- Undertake Duty Management shifts as required and all associated tasks.
- Have experience of working within a hotel or restaurant operation, ideally in a 4 star environment
- Be able to deliver excellent customer service at all times and train others to follow a similar example
- Be smart and professional in appearance with a "can do" attitude and excellent communication skills
