Hours - Monday to Friday 2.50 pm - 5.50 pm, term time. There is the potential for part time days.

Brilliant opportunity to join an amazing team to assist the Club Manager in the day to day running of an after school club based in a Gosforth Central Middle School, to provide a safe and stimulating play environment for the children attending the club. Whilst working in line with the standards set out by Ofsted and Mr H Out of School Clubs childcare Policies and Procedures.

The role of Club assistant includes
- Assisting in the day to day running of the club, setting up the club and cleaning at the end of each session.

Working in partnership with parents and the Club Manager to plan for the individual needs and preferences of the children.

Providing opportunities for play and learning which encourage all areas of development.

Ensuring that club is welcoming and friendly, while taking into account all health and safety issues.

Preparing and providing the children with a healthy and nutritious snack.

Ensuring that all the policies set out by Mr H Out of School Clubs are adhered to at all times.

The successful applicant must hold a Level 2/3 CCLD or Level 2/3 Play work qualification or equivalent (A levels or above). An Enhanced DBS check is required for the role and a current Paediatric First Aid certificate would be advantageous. You will also be required to complete Safeguarding, Prevent, FGM, Food Hygiene and Paediatric First Aid training (if not in date).

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Gosforth: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Paediatric First Aid Certification (preferred)
- DBS (preferred)
