**Ink Development Scientist - Project Leader**
**Harlow**
**Competitive salary depending on experience**
The Role:
- To work as part of a laboratory based team, to formulate and develop new security products for Offset, Intaglio and Letterpress printing.
- To plan and carry out project work and experimentation. This may involve providing support, training and guidance for junior technical staff.
- To provide development support to maintain existing products throughout their lifecycle
- To carry out evaluations of new and alternative raw materials
- To set up new ink formulations and ensure smooth transfer into production, assisting with QA as required
- To attend press trials as required. This may involve travel in both the UK and overseas which may be at short notice.
What you’ll need:
- A minimum of three years laboratory experience of product formulation and transfer into manufacturing
- Degree in Chemistry / Physics or similar related discipline
- A background in ink, coatings or polymer chemistry is strongly preferred
- Proven experience in leading R&D projects
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong initiative and focus on achieving technical results and meeting customer requirements
