Transport Planner

**Proactive Personnel are currently looking for a Transport Planner to start for their client based in the Wrexham Area**

**Job Details**:

- Implementing scheduling plans by assigning drivers to routes and ensuring that all deliveries are completed and rescheduled where necessary
- Load planning/Route optimisation/Able to Prioritise workload/Monitoring and tracking Jobs
- Updating tracking details and sharing this information with customers and internal managers
- Responding to all incoming operational and delivery calls from drivers and customers in a timely and professional manner
- Recording employee absence from work notifications
- Monitoring and reporting driver issues such as: accidents, safety concerns, road closures etc
- Complying with all current legislations regarding vehicles and driving hours

**Working Schedule**:
You will be required to work a general 8am-5pm however due to the nature of the role you may be required to adjust the hours so flexibility is required.

A rotating weekend on call ROTA is also implemented

**Requirements/Skills**:

- Experience as a Transport Planner is **essential**:

- Sound Geographical knowledge
- Business standard IT skills, including rota systems and MS Office
- Excellent communication and customer care skills
- Have a good use of intuition and problem-solving skills for productive outcomes
- Ability to work on your own and under pressure
- Well organised individual with excellent time management and prioritisation skills
