Our client, based in Central London, is currently recruiting for a Procurement Buyer on a Permanentcontract. Our client operates within the Higher Education Sector and deals with higher value tenders.

The position is due to start immediately on a full time basis. The salary is £31,838 - 38,217 inclusive of London Weighting**,**dependent upon experience

**Duties will include (but not limited to)**:

- Supporting end users on their procurement requirements, ensuring products/services are delivered on time to the required specification
- Managing the purchase and supply of procured goods and services, engaging with internal and external stakeholders across the organisation
- Understanding the target market of clients as well as analysing trends to make informed buying decisions towards an effective purchasing process
- Negotiating contracts with suppliers throughout the procure to pay cycle, managing supplier relationships through evaluating and negotiating tenders
- Ensuring the effective administration throughout the organisations purchasing processes, ensuring procurement regulations and standards are met

**Experience and Knowledge required**:

- Proven experience working in a procurement environment
- Knowledge in sourcing and negotiating tenders
- Experience in dealing with vendors and ensuring effective supplier management

**Working hours**:

- 35 hours per week
