**CNC Operator - Night Shift (9.30pm - 6.30am)**

Due to the continued success and ever-growing business, we are expanding our Machining Team and have a fantastic opportunity for a night shift CNC Operator, to join our friendly, well-established engineering business in Shrewsbury.

We are a family-run Design, Manufacturing and Distribution company who distribute globally through our international companies in the UK, Spain, and the USA.

Quality in our business is top priority and we need an individual who can demonstrate a high attention to detail and a positive, right first-time attitude.

We are seeking a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual, ideally with experience in CNC operating milling and/or turning (although training and support will be given), to join our busy team.

A hands-on attitude is essential, along with a keen eye for detail and being a team player. **Job Type**: Full-time (36 hours), Permanent

**Shift**:Monday - Thursday 9.30pm - 6.30am

**Salary**: DOE + 20% Shift Allowance

**Reports to**:CNC Team Leader

**Role Purpose**:To operate CNC metal removal machinery accurately and efficiently to produce metal component parts to the required production standards.

**Key responsibilities and accountabilities**:

- Working and operating all machines safely in line with the company’s H&S policy
- Load/unload the machines
- Measure components using standard measuring equipment
- Read drawing features that are being manufactured
- React to non-conforming parts that are produced / problem solve
- Change inserts/tooling as and when necessary
- Keep working areas and machine clean
- Loading/unloading finished components/raw materials as and when required
- Part marking
- Packing finished components
- Assembly work

**Essential Skills**
- Be used to a manufacturing type environment
- High attention to detail
- Able to work safely at all times
- Communicate effectively
- Must be able to keep working environment clean and tidy

**Desirable**
- Familiar with CNC machines with Fanuc controls would be advantageous
- Ability to use basic measuring equipment would be advantageous
- Be able to read drawings would be advantageous
- Basic setting skills would be advantageous
- Previous experience working within a metal working manufacturing environment
- Used to working to a production schedule
- Forklift & Pallet Truck Licence

**Job Type**: Permanent

**Salary**: £10.50-£13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 per week
