**About the role**:
The Assistant Technical Staff (ATS) role is the IASB’s entry-level standard-setting position. It is intended for those at an early stage in their careers who are interested in learning about—and contributing to—global accounting standard-setting.

It is a two-year appointment, during which time you will gain international work experience, develop your professional skills, technical accounting knowledge and understanding of the standard-setting process and the interaction with global stakeholders/groups. After two years it is expected that you will move into a role in the accounting profession or in industry.

**Responsibilities**:
ATS members work together to provide a pool of technical administrative support for IASB projects and teams. The specific role of an ATS member varies according to their project assignment and where each project is in the standard-setting process and project life-cycle. - Undertake research on a range of accounting and IFRS-related issues.
- Draft a variety of documents and materials for internal and external use, including staff papers and due process documents.
- Attend and support meetings with IASB staff, Board Members, advisory groups and other external stakeholders.

***Skills, experience & qualifications sought**:

- Demonstrate some knowledge of IFRS Accounting Standards and an interest in learning about—and contributing to—the IASB’s standard-setting projects and process, their purpose and the Foundation’s mission.
- Demonstrate a strong team ethic, a positive and proactive attitude and a high level of attention to detail, combined with excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
- Have some previous experience of undertaking detailed research and writing.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
