The Role of a GP Receptionist

We are currently seeking a part time GP Receptionist to join a busy GP surgery, supporting the team on Reception. This role will suit a Receptionist who has excellent customer service skills and who can confidently communicate over the telephone and face to face. Flexibility is essential as you will work 4 days per week between Monday to Friday and these may be different each week. EMIS experience is desirable.

**Main duties of a GP Receptionist will include**:

- Answer incoming telephone calls
- Booking appointments
- Liaising with visitors to the reception front desk
- Assisting with other ad hoc administrative duties

The ideal GP Receptionist will have the following skills and attributes:

- Excellent telephone manner
- Previous EMIS experience (desirable)
- Ability to work productively in a busy environment
- Excellent Customer Service skills
- Resilience and empathy are essential in this role
