What’s the scope of the role?_**

EDF Renewables UK and Ireland is a subsidiary of EDF Group, one of the world’s largest low carbon electricity companies. Our investment in renewable energy projects and innovation is reducing costs for consumers and bringing significant benefits for communities.

With our operating portfolio of 37 renewable energy sites including battery, onshore and offshore wind (together totalling 1 GW) we are providing much needed affordable, low carbon electricity. We have an expanding portfolio with almost 5 GW of projects in planning and development, including wind, battery solar PV and hydrogen.

Working within the EDF Renewables Offshore Wind team within the UK and Ireland, you will contribute to the development of the offshore wind portfolio to help deliver our objective of 3.5 GW of offshore wind in the water by 2035.

As the project Planner, you will oversee the scheduling of the full lifecycle of the proposed offshore wind farm project in line with project requirements and EDF standards and coding. This will include collating input from project leads, designing a schedule for management and reporting purposes and utilising the full schedule to input into project assumptions (including programming execution and installation). You will also feed in to development of centralised tools and processes associated with the EDF project Management Framework (PMF) ensuring they are fit for the needs of offshore projects.

**_What you’ll be doing day to day._**
- Defining and implementing high quality planning and scheduling standards and expertise utilising industry standard tools (i.e. P6).
- Running critical path analysis, reports on slippage and offering mitigation and recovery advice.
- You will lead meetings to source input data, monitor progress and report to the management team.
- You will review and critique 3rd party, detailed, logic linked project plans.
- Ensuring integration and development of project control procedures into the project delivery process.
- Producing monthly planning reports, progress monitoring, performance modelling and the production of scenarios.
- Preparing information and attending regular planning and progress meetings.
- Producing ad hoc reports for assistance to all Packages.

What do you need to be great at this role?_**

You will be an effective communicator who has experience of supporting projects from concept design stage construction and handover to asset operations. This role will demand agility, flexibility in approach and effective prioritisation to meet the needs of the project.
- You will have significant experience in planning and scheduling for a major multidisciplinary project.
- Experience of working with Primavera P6 planning tool.
- Experience of resourcing, progress measurement, completion forecasting and status reporting
- Effective interface skills and experience with the ability to offer both strategic and project advice to senior management teams.
- Ability to evaluate and communicate risks and propose and implement management and mitigation measures

You will have proven ability as a self-starter, with a high degree of knowledge and experience of planning the design and execution phases of offshore wind farms.
- Good report writing and presentation skills.
- Commitment to health and safety, both indirect working environment and through engineering design and approached.
