**Main purpose of role**:
- Anglo Leaders (ALs) are responsible for planning and running a fun, engaging leisure programme for teenagers. Leaders will also be responsible for the students' well being.-
- Prior to starting at centre, you will be assigned to one of two teams which you will be working with this summer: Activity team or Anglo+ team. Whilst both teams will be responsible for running excursions and the wellbeing of students, each team will have separate duties relevant to their role.-
- The Activity team are responsible for leading the day time sports and creative activities, acting as a guide on half day trips to places of interest and running evening events such as talent shows, themed discos, quiz nights. Activity Team members will also be responsible for any meal duties which will take place.-
- The Anglo + team will work with the Anglo + Workshop coordinator to deliver workshop sessions in the morning. These have been designed to give students the chance to learn about local history, British culture, music, drama and photography whilst using their language skills. They will also lead full-day excursions for the students at the weekends.- All ALs need to be ready to chat with students, encourage them to use English and make sure they fully enjoy their time in the UK.

**Anglo Leaders are required to**:
- Report to and liaise with the Activity Manager and/or Anglo + Co-Ordinator.-
- Set-up, supervise and encourage students to participate in all aspects of the activity programme.-
- Encourage students to speak English at all times.-
- Show sensitivity to the group and individuals and create a positive learning environment.-
- Be involved in all aspects of the Anglo + programme, ensuring sessions run smoothly, safely and efficiently.-
- Be committed to Anglo’s duty of care and the safeguarding of students always, also being enthusiastic and committed to their welfare and security along with the group leaders.-
- Read and respond to risk assessments for all activities on and off campus and check all equipment advising on its safe usage.-
- Prepare for and lead students on full-day and half-day excursions, having notes and information relevant for visits.-
- Supervise students during meal times.-
- Help with supervising students during meals and when in the halls of residence.-
- Assist in the event of an emergency.-
- Report student absences or sickness at the beginning of each session.-
- Quickly respond to any feedback that arises because of a drop in/full length observation.-
- Notify the management team of any persistent misbehaviour, sickness or absences.-
- Work 6 days a week including weekends, with one full day off during the week.-
- Be the face of Anglo by wearing our uniform, whilst at the same time implementing Anglo’s Ethos of care-
- Over 18 years of age-
- Based in and eligible to work in the UK-
- Able to attend both a zoom interview and complete all relevant training-
- Confident, Professional, enthusiastic and able to lead 10 - 18 year olds-
- Approachable, friendly and able to build rapport with young people-
- Possess strong communication and organisational skills-
- Able to use own initiative and work as part of a team- Flexible, creative and adaptable
