Job Specification - Delivery Driver & Stonework/Warehouse Operative

Percy Doughty has an exciting permanent, full-time opportunity for a Delivery Driver & Stonework/Warehouse Operative to join our team at our Scottish Branch in Grangemouth.

**Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required**:

- Clean driving license.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment & tool maintenance.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks.
- Experience operating a forklift is a plus.
- Experience of working in a workshop environment and/ or construction business is preferable but not essential.
- A willingness to learn and quickly pick up new skills taught is essential for this role.
- Working to deadlines is essential. Must be able to prioritise workload and adapt positively and efficiently to last minute changes.
- Ability to inspect own work and demonstrate honesty to report any quality issues.
- Excellent communication and organisation skills.
- Must be punctual and reliable.
- Demonstrate flexibility to work overtime when required.
- Team player who is also able to work on own initiative.

**Main Duties & Responsibilities**
- Receive, unload, and store incoming shipments.
- Inspect, count, and verify received products for accuracy and quality.
- Prepare orders for shipment by picking, packing, and labelling items.
- Load and unload trucks and ensure all products are securely and safely packed.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport products to customers and suppliers.
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.
- Complete delivery and pickup paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
- Communicate effectively with customers and suppliers to ensure smooth deliveries and pickups.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks and projects as needed.
- Manufacturing hearths, chambers and slip sets.
- Always ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations.

Role Parameters

**Department**: Warehouse

**Reporting to**: Warehouse Manager

**Location**: Grangemouth

**Working Hours**: Monday - Thursday, 8;30am - 5pm, Fridays 08:30am - 4pm with additional hours as reasonably required to excel within the role.

**Benefits Package**: Subject to a satisfactory six-month probationary period the company benefits include Company Pension, Childcare Vouchers, 20 days holiday and bank holidays.
