**Job overview**:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen within the Cellular Pathology service across the Northern Care Alliance to offer internal staff the opportunity to become Trainee Biomedical Scientists.

This is an apprenticeship post you must hold a foundation degree or equivalent.

You must be willing to undertake the biomedical science degree as part of the apprenticeship

You will complete the IBMS registration portfolio in order to gain registration with the HCPC and progress to Newly Qualified Biomedical Scientist. Further progression to the substantive post of Specialist Biomedical Scientist requires the successful completion and assessment of the IBMS Specialist Portfolio in Cellular pathology. Full support and guidance will be given with this training.

**Main duties of the job**:
You will rotate through all sections of Cellular pathology to gain relevant competencies as you complete your Biomedical Science degree and IBMS registration portfolio.

You must be willing to undertake the Biomedical science degree as part of the apprenticeship
