Yard Supervisor

Job Overview:
**Responsibilities**:

- Manage and coordinate yard activities to ensure timely shipping and receiving of goods
- Utilise Warehouse Management System (WMS) effectively to track inventory and manage stock levels
- Supervise a team of yard staff, providing guidance and support as needed
- Oversee the loading and unloading of lorries using forklifts and other equipment
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all yard operations
- Implement efficient 3PL (Third Party Logistics) processes for optimal workflow
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, returns, and inventory levels using AS400 or similar software

**Skills**:

- Proficient in Warehouse Management System (WMS) operations
- Strong mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with AS400 or similar inventory management software
- In-depth understanding of logistics and business processes within a warehouse setting
- Experience in team management and the ability to lead a diverse group of employees effectively
- Competency in forklift operation for loading/unloading tasks
- Knowledge of shipping receiving procedures to ensure accurate handling of goods

Pay: £20,671.75-£26,772.69 per year
