R&d Lab Technician

A manufacturer of lab consumables has an opportunity for an R&D Lab Technician to join its chemistry team. Your role will include R&D of own range resins and chemicals as well as routine manufacturing of these products. To be considered you will have a Chemistry(or related) degree, or have the equivalent experience. This company operate a 4 day working week, Monday - Thursday.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Manufacture of lanthanide staining (UA Zero)
- Bulk manufacture of resins
- Decanting of bulk chemicals into retail packaging
- Research and development of own brand resins
- Research and development of own range EM chemicals
- Cross training in other laboratories
- Holiday cover for other labs
- Prepare and maintain MSDS for chemical range

These are the main functions of the role; however, employees may be required to carry out other, ad hoc duties, as may be reasonably required.

**Experience Required**:

- Chemistry (or related) degree, or equivalent experience
- Comfortable working alone on a variety of short
- and long-term projects
- Scientific mindset
- Excellent health and safety awareness
- Motivated individual who is flexible and keen to learn the business
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a confident polite and efficient telephone manner
- Ability to demonstrate initiative and a positive attitude and meet daily KPI's
- Have the ability to work to set standards and procedures
