An opportunity has arisen for an assistant psychologist to join the stroke clinical psychology team in Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB). This team is part of a major redevelopment of stroke services in the region and a unique opportunity for post-holders to work with therapy and medical colleagues in clinical service provision. The stroke psychology team operates across North Wales at the district general hospitals and rehabilitation sites of each of the east, central, and west areas

We are looking for a full-time assistant psychologist to join the stroke psychology and inpatient stroke rehabilitation service in the east area (Deeside and Wrexham Maelor Hospital) of North Wales. The post-holder will be based at Deeside Hospital and work in inpatient and community settings.

Experience of working in stroke or acquired brain injury in an inpatient or hospital setting is desirable. Applicants wishing to work part time and/or job share will be considered.

The stroke psychology service is affiliated with the North Wales Brain Injury Service which is a hub of neuropsychology and community neurorehabilitation in the region.

This post is fixed term /secondment for 12 months to meet the needs of the service.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
