Transition Partners currently have an exciting opportunity for an Infrastructure Engineer to work within one of our key client’s Infrastructure team and provide proactive support and management of their compute and storage services.

**Leeds, Hybrid - 3 days in the office**

**Responsibilities will include;**
- **Maintaining availability service levels through proactive management of infrastructure components and rapid response through monitoring and alerts**:

- **Enhancement of IT services through delivery of workstreams - Projects, BAU and initiatives**:

- **Management of infrastructure capacity through regular housekeeping, monitoring, and forecasting**:

- **Management and monitoring of job schedules - including automated file transfers and centralised backup routines**:

- **Providing on-premise operational support of infrastructure components along with reactive on-call out-of-hours support. Working within a team rota to ensure on-site cover through supported hours (7.30am-5.00pm Mon-Fri) and exception-based out-of-hourssupport through an on-call rota**:

- **Maintaining currency of infrastructure components through upgrades, patching and component lifecycle management**

**Skills needed;**
- **Excellent problem solving and analytical skills**:

- **Ability to absorb complex technical information and communicate effectively to all levels, for technical and non-technical audiences both written and oral communications.**:

- **Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate at all levels**:

- **Ability to effectively influence and negotiate with stakeholders, through confident, clearly articulated, factually accurate information and intuitive thought processes.**:

- **A flexible approach to working hours which may include evenings and weekends.**:

- **Experienced in working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.**:

- **Experienced in working and prioritising within a high-pressure, time critical operating environment**:

- **3rd party supplier interaction and partnering.**

**Technical Skills**:

- **VMware products (ESX, NSX, vRealize, Load balancer)**:

- **Microsoft Windows (2012 onwards) Active Directory & Group Policy experience covering build/decommission, administration and configuration management**:

- **O365 (Teams, Exchange online, InTune and Security)**:

- **Storage and file server management and administration**
