In this rewarding role, you will support the central PMO function. The PMO is the centre for portfolio information and ensures consistency, governance and control to support effective delivery of the change portfolio.

**The Role**
As the Portfolio Management Office’s (PMO) Finance Analyst, you will be responsible for all aspects of the portfolio team’s finances, including business and financial planning, budgeting and forecasting, management of funding requests, ongoing resource management,procurement, cost-benefit tracking and production of regular financial performance reports and dashboards.
You will be a key part of the PMO team, helping to shape and deliver projects and programmes within budget so you will be working very closely with programme, project and change managers as well as supporting the creation of business cases and benefits tracking.
You will also be supporting the Change & Services Director and Heads of Business Solutions and Project Delivery to monitor finances and benefits.
Your role will also involve:

- Design, implement and managing tools and processes to effectively monitor and report on portfolio, programme and project delivery spend against budgets and forecasts.
- Budget reviews: Leading regular budget review meetings within the Change function and following up all actions arising from those reviews exercising judgement on relative priorities.
- Financial planning: Developing financial plans from complex data that may not be complete and requires interpretation and high level of analytical skills to translate into meaningful information.
- Data interpretation: Interpreting and understanding complex financial data to identify trends, areas of concern and opportunity.
- Business Case Building: Undertaking financial appraisals & contributing significant financial structure, governance and forecasting for all business cases produced in the portfolio to ensure a robust & viable business case is built and maintained.
- Continuous improvement: Build a financial management centre of excellence within the PMO in conjunction with the Head of Portfolio Office, ensuring basic requirements are met and building capability and commercial awareness across delivery. Designing anddelivering appropriate financial management training to the team. Running project financial health deep dives to identify areas of improvement in financial management.
**About You**
To be considered as a PMO Finance Analyst, you will need:

- Experience in portfolio-level assurance
- A solid understanding of accounting principles, with experience of working in a similar role
- An understanding of project and programme management excellence
- Strong numeric, analytical and organisational skills
- Strong relationship building and communications skills
- Experience using Portfolio Management processes/tools (e.g. Perform)
- Strong PC skills (Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI etc)
- Strong team building skills
- Proactive, driven and results-orientated
- Attention to detail, structured and forward thinking
