Consultant Geriatrician

**Doctors Direct** have a new and exciting opportunity for a number of **Consultants **to work with us at **Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust** in **Geriatrician.**

As a Consultant Geriatrician, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to elderly patients, addressing age-related health concerns, and managing complex medical conditions. You will work in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to enhance the quality of life for elderly individuals and promote healthy aging.
- Conduct thorough assessments of elderly patients, considering physical, cognitive, emotional, and social aspects.
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of medical conditions commonly affecting older adults, such as dementia, osteoporosis, cardiovascular diseases, and arthritis.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on the unique needs and preferences of each elderly patient.
- Prescribe medications, recommend therapies, and coordinate with other specialists as needed.
- Implement strategies for health promotion and disease prevention in older adults.
- Educate patients and their families on lifestyle modifications, vaccination, and other preventive measures.

- **Rate of pay per hour**: Negotiable depending on experience
- **Payment method: PAYE **we do NOT facilitate payment through LTD/umbrella companies
- Valid GMC
- Right to work in the UK
- Clinical attachment complete
- Minimum of 3 months paid experience in the NHS/UK
