We are recruiting for a **Payroll Administrator** to join our Payroll team and work alongside the Payroll Manager, People and Finance teams, to provide an excellent payroll service for our 3 UK companies.

**What will you be doing in this role?**

As the **Payroll Administrator** at Tunstall Healthcare, you will be responsible for the preparation and distribution of monthly payroll review reports to key stakeholders, and in supporting the Payroll Manager with statutory reporting. In addition, you will be expected to be able to deputise for the Payroll Manager, giving you the opportunity to develop, work cross functionally and contribute to improving processes and maximise efficiencies.

You will have **previous UK payroll experience** for a medium sized company (c600 colleagues), be **competent with payroll systems** and well versed in PAYE, SSP, SMP, SPP, P45s, P60s, P11Ds, P35, and year end data. A **proactive** approach and the **ability to communicate clearly** and **concisely**, whilst always offering an **excellent level of service** is vital to the success of this role. You will be able to work independently, but also as part of a team, and have a **high attention to detail**, able to prioritise your workload and meet strict timescales.

- Proven experience of being responsble for UK payroll for a medium sized company,
- Demonstrable experience of operating computerised payroll systems, including PAYE, SSP, SMP, SPP, P45’s, P60’s, P11D’s, P35 and year end data,
- Able to communicate, clearly and concisely, across all levels of the organisation in a professional manner,
- Methodical and organised approach to work, with a keen eye for detail,
- Able to effectively prioritise workload and meet strict deadlines,
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel including lookups and pivot tables,
- Proactive approach to issue resolution and process improvement,
- Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team with a collaborative attitude.

**Desirable skills and experience**
- Experience of operating Accord payroll system,
- Experience of operating CaptureIT time and attendance system, KPMG P11D System, Scottish Widows Pension AssistMe system.

**Your day-to-day responsibilities will include**:

- Work with and support the Payroll Manager to ensure that all required inputs to support the preparation and processing of the monthly payroll for our 3 UK companies are collated to agreed timescales, including but not limited to: New starters/leavers, Overtime calculations (including average holiday overtime), Shift allowances, Pension adjustments/amendments, One off and annual salary amendments, SSP, SMP, SPP, WTFC, Private mileage deductions, Long service awards,
- Process online payslips
- Produce and distribute monthly payroll reports to key stakeholders,
- Support the Payroll Manager as required to: ensure statutory compliance in all processes relating to HMRC, prepare and process P60s, maintain P11d system throughout year with production of P11d at year end, production of PAYE settlement agreement, completion of year-end returns, online filing of RTI reports, annual ESOS mileage report, production of Director payroll reports,
- Work with the Financial Shared Services team to produce information from the monthly payroll to facilitate management reporting,
- Work with the Payroll Manager to ensure that all payroll processes are fully documented and in line with Group policies,
- Act as an ambassador for the company, offering a great level of service every time.
