**Job Description
- Café Worker / Barista**

**Reports to Cafe Manager**

**Responsibilities**
- To prepare and serve drinks (front of house) and occasionally menu items (kitchen/back of house) according to the needs of the café and as instructed by the Cafe Manager
- To take on a supervisory role when required (according to experience) and as instructed by Cafe Manager
- To use payment system to take orders and payments
- To ensure the counter, coffee area, kitchen, toilets and café (both indoors and outdoors) are kept clean and orderly at all times
- To work co-operatively and communicate effectively with other café workers, Cafe Manager, Kitchen Manager and Business Owner
- To assist the Cafe Manager to place orders and manage deliveries, ensuring the correct items and quantities have been ordered and delivered
- To understand the aims of the wider business and to work with the Managers and Business Owner to help achieve those aims where appropriate

**Café Worker / Barista requirements**
- Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene or willing to complete training to achieve this
- Barista trained or experience of making barista-style coffee (minimum of 1 year)
- Experience of preparing food and drinks in the hospitality industry or other relevant experience
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: £10.50-£12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 24 per week
