**Regional HSEQ & Compliance Coordinator**

JOB PURPOSE:
The Regional HSEQ & Compliance Coordinator is a broad role and will take responsibility for the design, development and delivery of a range of programmes covering Health, Safety, Environmental, Quality throughout the business.

CONTEXT:
The primary and overriding aim of the Regional HSEQ & Coordinator is to support the National HSEQ & Compliance Manager in implementing, improving and sustaining systems to which Shred Station subscribe. These systems are, but not limited to; ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, ISO27001, BS EN 15713, BS 7858, PCI DSS, FORS, Cyber Essentials.

DIMENSIONS:
The role is primarily based within the Company’s Manchester Shredding depot with a view to support the implementation & maintenance of systems when the Bristol depot opens.

RELATIONSHIPS:
An active member of the HSEQ & Compliance Team

Reporting to**: National HSEQ & Compliance Manager

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

- Managing Occupational Health Programme
- Develop and update Safe Systems of Work & Method Statements & Risk Assessments for the business.
- Creating bespoke health and safety training for staff.
- Lead the HSEQ & Compliance Internal Audit program
- Lead the Waste 3rd party audit programe (following training)
- Support in reviewing HSEQ and compliance documentation
- Support sites and leads ensuring that their risk assessments and programs are suitable and sufficient
- Support National HSEQ & Compliance Manager with Shred Station safety council meetings
- Prepare trend data in readiness for management reviews.
- Manage LOLER, PUWER, PSSR, COSHH programs & registers nationally
- Manage Fire prevention & mitigation programs in Manchester and Bristol
- Support Incident Investigations to a high level ensuring a root cause is identified using techniques such as fishbone and 5 why.
- Conduct workplace inspections in line with 9001, 14001, 45001, 27001, BS EN 15713
- Update when required environmental documentation such as waste management exemptions, waste carriers’ licence, aspects and impacts register & quarterly hazardous waste returns
- Keep up to date with current legislation and health, safety and environmental best practice.
- Carry out such other responsibilities and activities as can reasonably be required in accordance with the nature of the post.

QUALIFICATIONS
- NEBOSH national general certificate in occupational safety and health or equivalent (essential)
- NEBOSH or AIEMA or other environmental qualification (Preferred but not essential)
- Good standard of Education (GCSE Grade C or above in English & Maths) (Essential if other qualifications above have not been obtained)

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE

You should have Minimum 3+ years of experience in a HSEQ coordinator or standards coordinator role, preferably within a waste and recycling and/ engineering or production environment.

You must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of the Health and Safety legislation, Environmental legislation & Quality Management systems.

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint. And Excel (Essential)

You will have an ability to deliver complex information in an easy-to-follow way with excellent interpersonal skills. These assets are essential for this role.

In association you will have the following:
- A full driving licence held for a minimum of one year.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Strong time management skills and a high level of organisation and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and with others.
- Ability to be flexible and work away from home when necessary.
- Self-motivated and be able to make autonomous decisions in line with company procedures
