We are recruiting Employability Advisers who have a good understanding of recruitment and selection processes, experience of developing employability activities and are skilled in providing advice and services in a supportive and encouraging way.
We are recruiting two Employability Advisors to join our Careers+ work-based learning team, which focuses on enabling students to succeed and gain the most from placements and work based learning, organising and coordinating work based learning opportunities including micro-placements and other cross university employability projects. The role will involve:
- Delivering individual and group-based workshops and sessions to students, developing their employability, preparing them for the workplace and enabling them to gain the most from their experience.
- Organising and delivering a comprehensive pre and post placement workshop programme.
- Contributing to the organisation, administration and delivery of student work-based learning projects and activities.
- Creating workshop materials tailored to each student cohort as required.
- Ensuring all practical measures relating to events/workshops are carried out effectively.
- Building relationships and working closely with Careers+ and academic colleagues ensuring services meet the needs of students.
- Reviewing, gathering feedback and measuring the impact of work based learning activities and projects.
As a key member of a Careers+ team you will work collaboratively with your Careers+ colleagues and faculty teams to achieve the best outcomes for students.
