Position: Factory Supervisor

Location: Wakefield

Employment: Full time/Permanent

Salary £45,000 DOE

**About the Role**:

- Lead and oversee day-to-day operations, serving as the crucial link between shop floor and management teams.
- Ensure the efficient performance of the team, meeting set goals, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Supervise team activities, managing resources such as labour, materials, plant, and equipment.
- Oversee factory inspections, ensuring adherence to quality assurance standards, and addressing inspection-related matters.

Create cutting lists for the finning side to maximize usage and minimize waste in finning contracts.
- Provide technical advice, support, and mentorship to the production assembly team.
- Offer in-house training, maintenance, and instruction on O/H Crane, Lifting, and Mobile Plant.
- Contribute effectively to production and planning meetings, collaborating with other departments to ensure on-time delivery.
- Ensure all applicable documentation is completed to company standards, procedures, and contract requirements.
- Highlight and recommend necessary labour requirements and skills shortages for the supervised area.

**Requirements**:

- Advantageous to have experience in pressure vessels, economizers, and heat exchangers.
- Experience working to UK, European, and American Codes and Standards, i.e., BS EN 1090, EN 12952, EN13345, EN 13480, PD 5500, ASME Section I and Section VIII.
- Familiarity with a range of materials including carbon steels, chrome molybdenum, austenitic stainless steels, and nickel alloys.
- Aware of different welding processes applied for welding pressure components, pipework, platework, and structural steelwork.
- Proficient in using Microsoft programs, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- IOSH Managing Safely qualified or willing to undertake, with a strong safety-first ethos.
- Some mathematical ability.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt communication styles to customer, client, and colleague needs.
- Team-focused with a collaborative and solutions-focused approach.
