**Location : Oldbury**

**Hours : Monday to Thursday 7:30am to 4pm and Friday 7:30am to 12:30pm (37 hours a week)**

**Pay : £30,173.64 per annum**

Jobsworth Recruitment are currently looking for a Toolroom Operative on behalf of our client based in Oldbury. Our client is the UK's biggest construction specialist cold roll forming company and part of the largest leading steel and technology group.

**What we need from you;**
- Must be able to operate standard toolroom equipment - including EDM Wire Eroding machines
- Experience within a press tool repair and manufacturing environment
- FLT Counterbalance experience
- Able to read engineering drawings
- Able to work under pressure
- Well organised, multi-skilled, self-motivated and professional
- Good timekeeping and attendance
- Responsible for achieving own key objectives, as well as the objectives of the team
- Able to prioritise own workload and work to tight deadlines under pressure
- Computer literate and able to communicate and record information effectively
- Attention to detail; accuracy is paramount
- Able to communicate at all levels and have a “can do” attitude

**What the job involves;**
- Operate standard tool room equipment proficiently, including EDM Wire Eroding machines
- Operate a Forklift Truck to assist with daily duties whilst also enabling tooling to be delivered to production
- Ensure as part of the team, all breakdowns are covered in a timely manner to ensure production downtime is kept to a minimum
- Aim for a “right first time” approach to all work carried out
- Liaise with contractors/suppliers where required and when additional support is needed, including agreeing timescales and costs
- Maintain awareness and ensure full compliance with Health and Safety legislation, housekeeping standards and Company rules and procedures
- Follow verbal or written instructions and work to set out procedures
- Seek continuous improvement related to the business KPI’s and as part of the team, contribute towards improved performance and the overall improvement of the business
