This is a Locum or Permanent role, to start ASAP.

Job Summary:
Whilst a significant portion of your time will comprise of supervision support, over time, you will hold an active caseload of children and adolescents with mild moderate emotional and mental health difficulties and will deliver evidence-based 1:1 and groupinterventions, employing the principles underpinning the national CYP-IAPT programme (Children and Young Peoples Improving Access to Psychological Therapies).

Low intensity, early intervention will be delivered in a range of education settings (primary, secondary, special, alternative provision, sixth form and further education colleges). This will include delivering interventions for CYP and parents/carers ineducation settings, providing training for education professionals and developing the teams ability to serve the needs of education settings. This builds upon the CCGs and Minds whole school approach to mental health provision.

Job Responsibilities:
Key areas of focus for the Mental Health Support Team (MHST) Supervisor/Clinician will be:

- Educational Mental Health Practitioner Support and Supervision
- Being able to identify needs and working alongside other MH professionals in schools and in the community to identify appropriate support for the specific user
- Build and maintain relationship with the Designated Mental Health Lead in some of the schools supported in this project
- Delivering Interventions and Client Care
- Supporting the development of the service

Essentials:

- Familiarity with CBT evidence-base
- Direct experience delivering interventions (autonomously providing assessment, developing intervention plans and delivering evidence-based interventions) for CYP aged 5-25 with mild moderate mental health difficulties
- Experience of routine clinical outcome monitoring
- Experience of both handling and supervising clinical risk assessment
- Understanding of child development and psychosocial influences
- Experience working in a multi-disciplinary mental health team
- Experience providing case management and clinical supervision
- Experience of both handling and supervising safeguarding concerns for CYP and adults
- Experience working in education settings
- Experience engaging a range of stakeholders (young people, families, mental health providers, schools, Local Authority staff etc.)
- Experience engaging CYP and families from diverse backgrounds
- Excellent communication skills
- Organisational skills and excellent time management
- Experience of using Microsoft Office package

Desirable:

- Experience developing content and materials for interventions
- Experience using IAPTUS CYP patient record system
- Working knowledge of designing and delivering interventions to CYP with neuro-developmental disorders and disabilities

Job Specifics:
Banding: 7

**Salary**: £44,000 - £51,000 per annum

Working Hours: Full time

Contract Type: Permanent or Locum

- Degree in Nursing or Social Work
- Nursing Midwifery Council (NMC) or Social Work England (SWE)
- Right to Work in the UK
